Sheridan Skips Sponsors Briercliffe Festival, Keeping the Community Green

The highly anticipated Briercliffe Festival is just around the corner, and Sheridan Skips is proud to be a part of this community-driven event. Scheduled for Saturday, June 29th, 2024, the festival promises to be bigger and better than ever, with a wide range of exciting activities and entertainment lined up.

Hosted at the picturesque Briercliffe Recreation Ground, Queen Street, Harle Syke, Burnley, the festival will feature a vibrant float parade through the streets of Harle Syke, a thrilling funfair, a dog show, and a diverse array of craft stalls. Families can enjoy inflatable fun for the kids, while wrestling enthusiasts will get a show too.

A licensed beer tent and a variety of delicious food options will ensure that no one goes hungry or thirsty. To top it all off, live music performances by Definitely KB, Social Butterfly, and the headlining act, Prophets Without Honour, will keep the crowds entertained throughout the day, with Mr. Whisk DJ Kev Riley serving as the host.

Sheridan Pitches In With Skips Galore

As a longstanding supporter of community initiatives, Sheridan Skips is proud to sponsor this year’s festival by donating two 8-yard skips. This contribution not only aids in maintaining the cleanliness and sustainability of the event but also reflects the company’s commitment to fostering a greener and more environmentally conscious community.

“We are delighted to be a part of the Briercliffe Festival,” said Anthony Sheridan, Managing Director of the Sheridan Group . “This event brings the community together in a remarkable way, and we are honoured  to contribute to its success by providing waste management solutions that prioritise sustainability and environmental responsibility.”

With years of experience in sustainable waste management, Sheridan Skips is well-equipped to handle the waste generated during and after the Briercliffe Festival. Our comprehensive approach ensures that every aspect of waste collection, sorting, and recycling is meticulously managed. From providing the necessary skip hire services during the event to efficiently processing the collected waste at our state-of-the-art facilities, Sheridan Skips’ seasoned team will ensure that the festival’s environmental impact is minimised.

Our proven track record in diverting waste from landfills and repurposing materials through innovative recycling methods guarantees that the festival’s waste will be responsibly managed, contributing to a greener and more sustainable community.

Innovative Recycling and Repurposing Methods

Sheridan Skips employs innovative methods to handle various types of waste, including general waste, wood, hardcore, scrap metal, PVC, and soil/trommel fines. Each waste stream is meticulously handled, with general waste sent to local transfer stations for energy conversion, wood sent to Esken Renewables for energy or animal bedding production, hardcore crushed for reuse in road and building bases, scrap metal recycled by local merchants, PVC melted down and reused by Norpol Recycling, and soil/trommel fines utilised as landfill cover.

Through their partnership with Sheridan Skips, the Briercliffe Festival not only promises a clean and enjoyable event for all attendees but also contributes to the broader goal of reducing waste and promoting environmental sustainability within the local community. By working together, the festival organisers and Sheridan Skips are paving the way for a greener future, one event at a time.

Sheridan Skips is proud to sponsor such a great community-driven event that fosters a wonderful spirit among residents. At Sheridan Skips, we believe in the power of collaboration and community involvement to bring about positive change and create lasting connections. By supporting events that bring people together in a spirit of celebration and togetherness, we hope to inspire others to join us in building a more inclusive and connected society.

Our sponsorship of this event is a reflection of our values and our commitment to being a responsible corporate citizen, dedicated to making a meaningful impact in the communities we operate in. We are honoured to be a part of this event and look forward to witnessing the positive outcomes it will bring to our community.
